Hot coffee, Irish whiskey and a little sugar under a cool cap of cream: dessert and nightcap in one glass.

Steps

1. 1Warm a heatproof glass with hot water, then empty it.
2. 2Add the sugar, hot coffee and whiskey, and stir until dissolved.
3. 3Lightly whip the cream so it is thick but still pourable.
4. 4Pour the cream over the back of a spoon so it floats on top.
